The band took part in the World Pipe Band Championships, which were held in Glasgow last weekend and while they did not qualify for the grade one final, they did however put in a very creditable performance in the morning heat. Pipe Major Ian Duncan is happy with the progress made so far this season and while slightly disappointed in the band’s placing at Glasgow, is looking forward to the medley contest at Cowal Games at the end of the month. The band would also like to take the opportunity to congratulate Pipe Major Terry Tully and the St Laurence O’Toole Pipe Band from Dublin, on winning their first World Championship title.
