Victim appeal, Edinburgh
Lothian and Borders Police are appealing for the victim of a
reported attempted robbery in Edinburgh to come forward.
Police were called to Nicolson Street about 6am on Saturday
(December 17), where witnesses reported a man was being robbed.
When officers arrived, however, the man was not in the area.
A 32-year-old man has been charged with possession of an offensive
weapon following the incident, and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff
Court yesterday (December 19).
A police spokesman said: "We are concerned that someone has been
robbed and has not reported it to police, so we would urge anyone
with any information regarding this incident to come
forward."
Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police
on 0131 311 3131, or the charity Crimestoppers in confidence and
complete anonymity on 0800 555 111.
